February 2012: The construction of the new Royal Gibraltar Yacht Clubhouse is continuing apace and this stunning new facility is due for completion by summer 2012.

October 2011: The Government Rental Housing in Gibraltar is now fully occupied and all the landscaping works are complete. The exercise equipment on the podium is also now in place and is enjoyed by tenants of all ages. The mirador (viewing point) is on it’s way to becoming a local landmark.

The new home of the Royal Navy's Gibraltar Boat Squadron and the GDP's Marine Unit was formally opened by Lady Johns on the 15th July 2011, accompanied by the Governor. According to the Gibraltar Chronicle "In a welcome address, Lt Adam Stevenson thanked the Government of Gibraltar for providing the Squadron with 'a fantastic new base from which to mount its patrols of territorial waters and its force protection of visiting RN ships,' and he thanked Lady Johns for her sponsorship of a 'new base which represents the future of the Squadron.'"
