Tŷ Croes Atti
Places for People
Lovelock Mitchell Architects were appointed to design a transformative new care facility in Flint, North Wales — a project that redefines integrated, sustainable care provision for older people in the region. Developed in partnership with Flintshire County Council, Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB), Willmott Dixon, and the Welsh Government, Tŷ Croes Atti sets a new benchmark in both environmental performance and holistic care design.
The new four-storey care home replaces the existing 31-bed Croes Atti facility with a purpose-built, 56-bedroom environment that supports both long-term residential care and short-term reablement. Located on the constrained site of Flint’s former Cottage Hospital, the development includes new access roads, on-site parking, secure green spaces for residents, and comprehensive landscaping — all designed to create a calm, welcoming and therapeutic setting.
