Armfield Academy provides a new 1,280 place school for pupils ranging in age from 2 to 16 years in line with the all through ethos of the school.
Extensive demolition and a new 3,446m² 3 storey block provide the principle accommodation for the secondary school forming a new frontage to Lytham Road and enclosing the school to the rear.
Developed in three phases, budgetary constraints saw the scheme re-purpose many of the existing facilities on the site. 5,766m² of refurbishment works were completed, including a 4-court sport hall, D&T block and the Primary School wing as well as incorporating several locally listed buildings.
