St Matthews High School
Places to Learn
St Matthews High School formed part of Manchester City Council’s Education Basic Needs Programme to increase and improve provision at 8 schools in the area. This project looked to increase the dinning provision within the school through a 177m² extension to the current dinning facilities as well rationalising teaching accommodation through a series of refurbishment and remodelling works.
Using innovative off site methods of construction for the extension and working to BIM Level 2 enabled this fast paced project to be delivered in 9 months from inception to completion and in time for the start of the September term. This method of construction also allowed the time on site to be minimised reducing the disruption to the heart of school.
